Clips & the sound library

Clips are the heartbeat of Playrzone: your best moments, on your profile forever, ranked by the community. Here's the full loop from upload to trending, and how sounds turn one clip's audio into a creative chain.

Uploading a clip

Upload from the site (or the mobile app), give the clip a title, pick the game, and add a description and tags so people searching that game or moment can find it. Clips process in the background transcoding for smooth playback on any connection and go live seconds later.

Every clip has a visibility setting you control:

  • Public listed in the trending feed, on your profile, and on its own shareable page
  • Unlisted live at its link, but never listed anywhere
  • Private visible only to you

You also decide whether viewers can download your clip (optionally watermarked) and whether comments are open.

Reactions, ratings, and trending

Viewers react to clips like/love/fire/laugh/wow and comment, reply, and follow creators they rate. The For You feed ranks clips by engagement, recency, and your connections, with a chronological toggle when you just want the newest.

Competitive clips play by different rules: no emoji reactions, just a 1–10 community skill rating. It's the difference between “that was funny” and “that was clean” and it keeps the competitive lane honest.

The sound library

Any clip's audio can become a soundif its owner allows reuse. A sound gets its own page a running collection of every clip built on that audio, always crediting the original. Found a sound you like? Hit “use this sound” on any clip that allows it and your next upload starts with that audio bed.

Sounds are how one great moment multiplies: the original clip earns credit and views every time someone builds on it, and creators get a growing library of community audio to work with browse what's popular in the sound library.

Keeping the feed healthy

Every clip, comment, and profile carries a report button, and a moderation team reviews reports against the platform rules. Content that breaks them comes down; repeat offenders lose their accounts. If your own clip is stuck or wrongly flagged, Support is the fastest route.

Quick answers

How long does processing take?

Usually seconds. Clips are transcoded for smooth streaming after upload; larger files can take a little longer. Your clip goes live the moment processing finishes.

Who can see my clips?

You choose per clip: public (listed in feeds and on your profile), unlisted (only people with the link), or private (only you). Public clips get their own shareable page; private ones never appear anywhere public.

What makes competitive clips different?

Competitive clips trade emoji reactions for a 1-10 community skill rating. It keeps the competitive feed about the play, not the meme and strong ratings surface clips to more viewers.

Can other people reuse my audio?

Only if you allow it. Marking your clip’s audio as reusable creates a sound page; other creators can then build clips on your audio, and every one of them links back to your original.
